Emergency Department Nurse

Are you an adaptable, resilient, team player looking to learn and thrive within a busy and varied Emergency Department? As the first and sole emergency point of contact for our community, Jersey’s Emergency Department provides both challenge and opportunity to the right candidate.

Working as a nurse within our Emergency Department means no two days are the same.

You will be exposed to all areas of medicine, from resuscitation to heart attacks, from drowning to looking after sick children, providing ample opportunity to grow your experience, skills and knowledge within nursing and medicine.

Our Emergency Department (ED) nurses take pride in being the first point of contact for many patients, friends and relatives in distressing situations. In these emergency  situations, the impact of our nurses’ words and actions cannot be oversold and make a world of difference to patient outcomes and experience.

Join our team of ED nurses dedicated to improving the lives and wellbeing of our Island community and benefit from a network of supportive colleagues and excellent opportunities for career progression and further study.

As the first point of contact for many patients, friends and relatives in distressing situations, I find that often a kind word makes the difference to their interaction and outcome. Being able to positively impact someone’s experience in the Emergency Department is one of the most rewarding areas of our work.
